It grows rapidly to over 5' high with 5' long sword to strap shaped leaves. They re exotic, fragrant, and exciting bell shaped flowers, that come with a lovely scent and are related to the Amaryllis plant.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003eCrinum powellii\u003c\/i\u003e is quite one of the most beautiful bulbs with showy, fragrant, funnel-shaped flowers held well above the strap-shaped leaves.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCrinum bulbs are much larger than bulbs of its relative the Amaryllis (amaryllidaceae). Roundish, with a long tapering necks, bulbs of a crinum can be 12-16 inches in length.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGenerally, the leaves are thin and long with silky feel to them and some varieties having edges which are wavy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe flowers are unique and beautiful, but even with the flowers the crinum is a handsome decorative plant which can get very large.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCrinum Powellii bulbs yield pink flowers during summer, making them suitable for gardens in warm climates. They bloom from June to September in plains and July to October in hilly areas.
