Origin: Tropical East Africa

Height: Grows slowly but can reach 1.6 ft

Light: Care should be taken to keep it away from drafts and direct sun, which can scorch the leaves. Will tolerate low light.

Water: This easy-care house plant will tolerate many abuses, but be careful not to over-water or over-fertilize. Droopy, yellow leaves are a sign it's overwatered and may indicate root rot. Be sure to use a container with a drainage hole and never allow the plant to stand in water.

Humidity: Average to moderate humidity. Mist your corn plant once per day with a spray bottle that has been filled with water. This is necessary because corn plants require a humid environment.

Temperature: Average room temperatures 60-75 �F, 16-24 �C work fine for corn plant. Care should be taken that it isn't exposed to temperatures below 55 �F/13 �C.

Soil: Any good potting mix that drains well.

Fertilizer: Apply a 3-1-2 fertilizer every three months to the soil surrounding the corn plant

Pests: Watch for spider mites, mealybugs and scales, which are common pests of the Dracaena fragrans plant. If you spot any pests, spray them with horticultural oil.

Eliminates: Their large, dark leaves suck up ammonia, formaldehyde, toluene and xylene

Caution: Dracaena plants are not considered poisonous to humans, but are extremely poisonous to dogs and cats with a #2 toxicity level.
