Description
Purple False Eranthemum is erect, open shrub, the stems sparsely branched unless pinched out at intervals when young. A rich mass of purple foliage adds an elegant dimension to the garden. Wonderful for contrasting with green or gold-foliage plants. Prefers some shade in hot climates. A great accent plant for containers on the porch or patio. During summer, tubular white flowers, spotted rose-red or purple at the bases, 2.5cm long, are borne in dense, terminal spikes, to 18cm long.
